Networking refers to the way that computers are connected. All computers that are connected to each other can share their resources and information both software and hardware. For example, when a printer is connected to a computer that is linked, all those computer s can have the privilege to use the printer with the help of the process called networking. One computer can transmit information for useful purposes. These computer terminals are linked together with the server which serves as the main computer. There are some basic types of networking that appears for the connection of each or every computer nodes. The first one is the LAN which stands for Local Area Network. This connection is being connected with in the building or organization. The second is the Man or Metropolitan Area Network. The MAN is the establishment of computers which are being connected with in one country or municipality. The third is the WAN or Wide Area Network. The connection of this one is global meaning that your computer will be connected throughout the globe. It is considered as the internet. Each computers that are connected are suited to do specific tasks which works independently in order to provide necessary data and resources. In networking, it is much easier and convenient to the task If you are in a group. All the sources and information can be transmitted because of the connection called networking. Networking also has advantages and disadvantages. Two advantages of networking is that you can share information and can use Network software. When it comes to its disadvantages, here are some: First is that there is no assurance in the security of your private data. Second is that it can possibly spread virus infection by downloading and uploading files? And lastly, the difficulty in finding files that are saved with different linked computers.
