Military Funerals
Veterans play a important parts in our lives. In the United States, military funeral is always given by the armed forces for war veterans. They are the soldiers died in battle or prominent military figure. Usually, the DOD or Department of Defense are the ones responsible for the provision of military funeral honor or the title (”Honoring Those Who Served”) to the deceased. The veterans who are discharged honorably from their active duty, the members of the military who died on their active duty and the spouses and children of the veterans are eligible for a VA burial and all the memorial benefits. However, veterans do not have to die before their dependent child or spouse for them to be eligible.
Each veteran is entitle in a national cemetery burial, service flags and markers. Service flags are easy to find at stores selling American Flags. There would be no charge for the opening and closing of the grave, liner or vault, or in setting the market in the national cemetery. The family is normally responsible for other funeral charges.
Each veteran is eligible for inscribed headstone or Military grave markers which will mark their grave in the cemetery. This applies for state veterans, national or private cemeteries. The marker will be delivered with no cost. The veteran’s spouse and their dependent children are eligibleto receive government headstone or marker if the veteran is buried in state veterans cemetery or in national cemetery.
