Information Processing System

Information Processing System is the gathering of certain data that are manipulated in order to become information.  All the data that are being processed can then become useful information.  It transforms raw materials coming from the computer and after that, the CPU or the Central Processing Unit process such data which organized data that is presented in a meaningful form.  The major functions of information processing system includes:  Accepting and gathering data.  This basic collection is the basic way in order to process.  It first collects the data to be manipulated.  Secondly, after the collection, the data now is being process to become useful information.  After the processing, the data and information stores inside the hard disk of your computer.  Lastly, the stored data can now be useful information for useful purposes.  There are three main components of an information processing system.  Hardware is tangible part with in the computer system.  It refers to the equipment such as monitor, mouse, keyboard, and the CPU.  Each of the equipment is created or designed to perform specific functions.  Software, on the other hand, is the non-tangible program created in order to tell the computer what task to do.  Example of software is MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.  The last one is the peopleware.  It refers to the people or the computer’s end-users.
